WCG 2009

- The experience was damn good lah...
- The whole setting was like a mini-ISEF with a heck load of gamers...

Fifa 09
- Lol, I must say WCG has degraded alot, that even I had the balls to take part in it without having played the game before... I guess its just that the prizes suck too much nowadays...
- Either way, was quite glad my first game was against some old friend in Fifa Online 2, so LOL, as I was playing him I was asking him how to do the various moves lol... Eventually he won me 1-0 in my first ever Fifa 09 game haha!!!
- Then my 2nd game was against some other guy, it finished 0-0, but not supposed to be, cuz he had a penalty, which I super luckily saved...
- My group had only 3 people, so everyone qualified for the playoffs...
- I faced the eventual runner-up in my first (and last) playoff game... He was a super polite and nice guy, and he SOUNDED and LOOKED like Tiappy! I lost the first game 2-0 and drew the second game 1-1 (WHEE... At least I scored one goal before I went out...)
- Fifa 09 was simply a cry too far from Fifa Online 2 lol...

Dota
- DOTA WAS OH MY GAWD
- Was particularly impressed when this team called Little actually team-cleared XtC, but XtC still won that game comfortably...
- But came the FINAL GAME... OMG... XtC VS Axis...
- FRIGGIN GAY GAME... (Ok, can't rmbr all the details, but it was something like that)
- Axis had more kills, but XtC, with the super godlike farming of Toh's Bristleback, managed to Mega Creep Axis
- Then Axis decided to do a throne rush while 4 of XtC's heroes were down from Mega Creeping them...
- WTH, then Axis downed the two last towers and downed XtC's throne to 50% HP, before XtC's heroes came out and wiped them out...
- Axis then bought out, and their two DPSes, Chaos Knight and Shadow Fiend went to rush the throne while their other 3 heroes defended... On the other hand, all of XtC's heroes was camping at various spots in their half to try to stop Axis from throning...
- Then somehow, Axis wiped out the heroes stopping them, and it eventually it was just XtC's POTM against Axis' SF and CK. And WTF LOL...
- Axis' SF used Manta and a stored illusion rune while CK ulti-ed, so it was like 7 SFs and 4 CKs just aiming the throne directly...
- THEN... XtC's POTM used manta too and their BB revived... Eventually the CK died... So did the POTM... So it was left with SF (all the illus dead) and BB...
- The SF, with green HP, then turned on BKB, and just whacked the throne ignoring the BB hitting it... Before we knew it, XtC's throne was left with 100HP...
- Axis' SF hit it once, and the throne was left with 25HP... XtC's BB could not kill the SF...
- Axis' SF raised its arm, ready to shoot out the last projectile to finish off the throne and the entire crowed was thrilled to witness a final whereby Axis kena-ed Mega Creeps and still turned the tables and won...
- THEN SUDDENLY... BOOOOM... The screen switched... The Mega Creeps had killed off Axis' Tree of Eternity JUST AS their SF released the projectile...
- The ENTIRE XtC team just JUMPED out of their seats as the entire hall erupted... Yeah, and I tot I saw one of them cry... And NutZ went nuts lol... You should have seen how high he jumped when the screen suddenly switched over just as SF was about to do the last hit on their throne... OMGoodnessGayness...

Side Note:
- Yeah, I saw like some big big adults, with their girlfriends, sobbing like little kids after they lost their games... OMG...

And promptly sat in the SAF corner, in a sea of light blue...
- And wth, I didn't realise Woodlands jersey has changed to yellow top and black bottom, and not yellow, green, blue anymore...
- Game was damn boring, but somehow SAF won 4-1...
- Signed up for Fifa 09 WCG with my friend's credit card since my parents didn't want to allow lol...
- And am going for Fifa 09 WCG without having even played a single game of it before lol...
This is funny... Currently, at all Timezone Arcades, there is this deal available... You pay $5 for 8 plays of the Shooting Hoops (ie. 62.5 cents per game)...

Nowadays, if the machine has 6 balls and is not screwed up or anything, I can hit a score of at least 360, which translates to 36 E-Tickets...

At the rewards counter, if you have 33 E-Tickets, you can exchange those for one can of coke, which I can resell at the standard price of $1.

Does this mean I earn 38.5 cents and a free Shooting Hoops game?

Finally found the energy and time to muster a little entry here lol...

Finally qualified for Fifa Hyundai Cup after playing an astounding 120 Fifa games in 7 days, racking 96 wins 19 losses and 5 DCs (one DC came from me accidentally smacking my power plug after I scored against some guy in the 1st min lol...) against laggers, asshole bengs and egpytians who god-knows-why are playing on a Singapore server and making my Fifa game go frame-by-frame... Eventually, my score of 72 net wins was enough to qualify...

Friggin elated that I can finally stop playing Fifa anymore and I'll be retiring from this stupid game after Hyundai Cup... Seriously, competitive gaming is sickshit...

120 games x 10 mins per game (Longer if we go on to extra time and penalties)
= 1200 mins
= 20 hours
= 2 hours and 51 mins of Fifa per day on average

Can you imagine that some sick little boys (who are having their school holidays now) friggin played 250 games in that same 7 days? (Thank goodness they don't have a very high win to loss ratio, so they still didn't qualify eventually...)

Temper has not been very good playing about an average of 3 hours per day of Fifa (its an average, on some days, I only play for about 1.5 hours, so on some days I play for about 4 hours +)... Especially so when meeting people who severely lag your game, or people who can't stop cursing you and your family on Fifa for no good reason and people who play cheat to rack up wins (they need to qualify too, and they friggin bombard pings non stop on backend to lag you...) But thank god, its all over...

--- Enuff of rant ---

RANDOM STUFF
- Met the cute cute aunty from Candy Yong Tau Foo at Miramar just now haha!!! Then my sis and I went to talk to her for a while lol...
- Went to Kbox yesterday with Dvdy, YH and ZY
- Went to Kbox the day before for Family Day
- Ok, actually apart the above few events, the rest of my time has been spent playing Fifa... Yes, I took about 3 half-day leaves last week to go home and play Fifa in the afternoon... So that I can play Dota with my unit mates at night lol...
- Haven't applied probability in a long while since I've been busy gaming...
- Glad that Ronaldo is now off to Real Madrid... Good riddance...
- Sian lah... Nothing to talk about really...
SAFFC VS Tampines

Went to watch SAFFC VS Tampines at CCK Stadium with my uncle just now... And for all soccer fans (even those non-sleague ones), this match was so eventful that it warrants a full blog entry and me coming out of hiatus to blog about this...

(Kick Off)
- Tampines keep attacking down SAFFC's left side, the pace of Ridhuan and strength of Qiu Li cause a heck lot of problems for Mustaqim and Zulfadli
- Anyone watching can tell that SAFFC is bound to GG sooner or later given the way Tampines is attacking down SAFFC's left

<8 min>
- SAFFC's passing is like s**t and are unable to mount any attacks, but one particular rare attack results in a Latiff cross and a Duric header, which flies towards the bottom right corner of Tampines' goal. But Hassan Sunny produces a brilliant save, holding on to the ball

<10 min>
- SAFFC is getting owned

<14 min> SAFFC 0 TAMPINES 1
- Tampines win a free-kick down the left (obviously) after Mustaqim clumsily falls Qiu Li
- Sutee whips in the free-kick, which is cleared and falls back to him
- Then some guy fouls Sutee
- Sutee whips in the next free-kick, SAFFC's marking is godlikely lackadaisical and Noh Alam Shah gets a free header, putting the ball past Shahril...

<23 min> SAFFC 0 TAMPINES 2
- Riduan breaks down the left wing, goes past Zulfadi and then Mustaqim, and then runs like a Troll with BoT, SNY and Beserk on... Mustaqim tries his best to chase back, and ends up tangling Riduan from behind inside the edge of the box... Ref points for an obvious penalty
- Shahril guesses correctly to his left, but then Sutee blasts the ball perfectly into the top left corner out of Shahril's reach... On a side note, in Sleague, each time a team scores a goal, their "goal-music" will be played, and zerg, Tampines' one was a Tamil song???

<25 min> SAFFC 1 TAMPINES 2
- Kick off after Tampines just scored
- SAFFC are downtrodden and Duric sianishly passes the ball to Therdsak, who brings the ball up abit, then sianishly passes to Latiff, who is on the right wing...
- Latiff suddenly has this spring in him and goes on a solo run past two Tampines players before sliding the ball past the Tampines midfield and defence to put Duric clean through...
- Duric sidesteps the onrushing Hassan Sunny, who brings him down...
- Yes, 30 seconds after the kick off after the Tampines goal, SAFFC get a penalty
- Therdsak sends Hassan Sunny the wrong way

<30 min>
- A long ball pumped up from Tampines' defence
- Kenji Arai jumps to head the ball away and COMPLETELY misses it, putting Noh Alam Shah 1v1 against Shahril down the right of the penalty box...
- Noh Alam Shah shoots so waywardly the ball hits the corner flag...

<38 min>
- SAFFC's Zulfadli is yellow-carded after Qiu Li gets past him and he drags him down from behind...
- SAFFC's left side is seriously getting owned and its just a matter of time before Zulfadli gets sent off for his incessant fouling...

(Half Time)
- SAFFC survive...

(Half Time Kick Off) SAFFC 2 TAMPINES 2
- SAFFC kick off
- SAFFC pass the ball to Mustaqim on the right, who crosses, but the ball gets cleared...
- The ball falls to Wilkinson
- Wilkinson pumps a through ball which Mustaqim latches onto down the right... Mustaqim crosses and with Duric lurking, Shariff puts the ball into his own net and goes WTF at his teammates for allowing Wilkinson to make that through pass...

<65 min>
- SAFFC are smarter now, they're mounting attacks down their right, but still, they're getting owned badly each time Tampines attack down the right...
- God knows why Richard Bok isn't subbing Zulfadli, who has been getting owned flat, off...

<68 min> SAFFC 2 TAMPINES 2, SAFFC 10-man
- My worst fears came true...
- Mustaqim miscontrols a pass and Riduan makes the tackle and the ball bobbles loose...
- Ridhuan and Zulfadli both go for the ball; Riduan is just too fast and it is obvious he's gonna get there first... And so...
- Zulfadli goes in for the ball both-footed... He is obviously too slow and gets Ridhuan instead of the ball... I tot it's supposed to be a straight red... But the ref is kind enough to just yellow card and then send him off...
- Zulfadli leaves the pitch and applauds to the crowd... I'm surprised the crowd actually applauds back given his performance lol...

<70 min>
- SAFFC are defending for their lives
- Latiff who has been outstanding in the past few games, as well as this one, in midfield goes to right back and gets owned...

<75 min>
- Tampines make a superb interplay down their right, putting Ridhuan clean through, past the super static SAFFC defence, down the right of the penalty box...
- Ridhuan is damn good, but scored only 2 goals last season... Why? Read on...
- Ridhuan unleashes a fearsome shot and it hits the post... It was so loud I could hear it in the stands... He has super bad luck, seriously...

<78 min> SAFFC 3 TAMPINES 2, SAFFC 10-man
- Its crazy...
- SAFFC have been attacking like s**t cuz each time Duric gets the ball, no one runs up to support and its one Duric VS the whole Tampines backline...
- SAFFC mount a counter-attack and its the same old story...
- Duric gets the ball and no one is around him except for Mustaqim who runs down the right, so he passes to Mustaqim
- Its 2 SAFFC players VS 5 Tampines players
- Mustaqim goes to the byline and whips in a low cross...
- WTF... The cross eludes THREE Tampines players who are in the way, and Duric shoots the ball past Hassan Sunny...

<80 min> SAFFC 3 TAMPINES 2, BOTH TEAMS 10-man
- Tampines kick off after the SAFFC goal
- They pass the ball down their right flank
- I turn to say something to my uncle
- I turn back and I see a cross flying in and Noh Alam Shah heads it past Shahril...
- SAFFC 3 TAMPINES 3???
- Then I see Daniel Bennett rolling on the ground clutching his chest in pain...
- SAFFC players are protesting to the ref and pointing towards the linesman, who seemed to have waved his flag after the goal...
- Tampines players are standing in formation in their own half with the ball in the centre circle waiting for SAFFC to kick off while SAFFC players are still protesting...
- The ref goes to the linesman and then blows his whistle... He holds a red card in his hand, it seems things are going to be interesting...

- The ref flashes the red card at Noh Alam Shah for an apparent elbow and disallows the goal!
- Noh Alam Shah goes berserk AGAIN... And confronts the ref... Tampines players struggle to hold him back... SAFFC players join in to help hold Alam Shah back...
- Ref explains the decision to the protesting Tampines players...
- Noh Alam Shah walks away from the crowd of players after the protests ended, and suddenly charges towards Bennett and the linesman (who were standing side by side)
- The other players quickly hold him back...
- Bennett taunts some Tampines player who is kp-ing him, as well as the Tampines fans...
- Alam Shah has to be escorted off the pitch by Tampines players as the pitch security officers at the same time struggle to prevent the Tampines bench from going onto the pitch to protest...
- Alam Shah is finally escorted into the tunnel by security officers
- Today's turnout was imba... And so there was a heck lot of noise made by fans on both sides...

<81 min>
- Park Tae Won comes on after SAFFC supporters chanted his name for one whole minute...
- Aliff Shafaein comes on too...

<85 min>
- SAFFC are DAMN HENG...
- Aliff puts in a low cross from the right and Sutee ghosts in from nowhere past the SAFFC defence and places a hard shot past Shahril's left from like 2 metres out...
- AND WTF LOL... Somehow, Shahril's left leg was there and he makes an astonishingly brilliant/tyco save...

<90 min> SAFFC 4 TAMPINES 2
- SAFFC pump a ball out of their defence...
- Duric is behind the last Tampines defender, but because he was in his own half, no offside...
- The two Tampines defenders surprising couldn't catch the 39-yr-old lol...
- Duric brings the ball past Hassan Sunny and slots it in...
- I become $9 richer

<final whistle="Whistle">
- The game ends, and the players start arguing and confronting the ref
- The fans are watching the after-match action
- Tampines fans are barricaded in as security officers usher SAFFC fans out, I doubt there would really be fans clashing as the Tampines fans were busy shouting at the refs as they left the place...
- Again, in Sleague, fans don't necessarily sit in the fraction of the stadium of the team they support... So...

<final score="Score">
10-man SAFFC come from 2-0 down to beat 10-man Tampines 4-2... LOL...
Norikazu Murakami, amidst the massive turnover of players here and there amongst all the clubs, ended up in Home Utd from SAFFC...
Today marks the very last AoP of the year (not that the year has many days left, hehe) for me, and LOL...

I must say that AoP goes one full circle and kicks you in the butt...

Today, $700 was gone with the LAST TOUCH of the ball in the game as Le Cong Vinh headed past the Thai keeper in the friggin LAST SECOND of the match to make it 1-1, meaning that Vietnam won the Suzuki Cup lol... (Not to mention that Thai had a perfectly onside goal disallowed in the first leg haha...)

And so, as I round up my accounts of AoP for the year, thankfully, I (still) have made a total of $84 net profit LOL, which results in a haul of $14 per month... (No thanks to this Suzuki Cup haha...) Which is kinda laokui for all that math I had done earlier on only to be undone by Vietnam's super tyconess haha...

$14 per month isn't that lucrative after all, maybe its time to change to 4D or Toto :P

Saturday
- Ok, when to CJQ's house to play table tennis, X-box 360, eat preserved fruits, etc...
- Then went to Lot 1 for lunch and arcade...
- Saw Nick Ng on the bus, haha...
- Finished lunch and stuff and were on our way to the terminus where I got intercepted by a lady selling Prudential investment trusts, she had wanted 5 mins of my time...
- In the end, it became 45 mins...
- Really hilarious but also tending towards sickeningly irritating session since she was pretty aggressive and it was obvious she wasn't putting forward the terms of the trust properly and clearly...

Lady: For every 30k you put in over 25 years, you get back 18k guaranteed plus up to 20+k in unguaranteed bonuses...
HHC: So, is this 18k on top of the 30k?
Lady: For every 30k you put in over 25 years, you get back 18k guaranteed plus up to 20+k in unguaranteed bonuses...
HHC: ...

Lady: Look, each month you put in $100, at the end of the year you get back $750 in guaranteed returns.
HHC: Er, but I put in $1200?

Lady: *Does alot of Math* Look, you put in one month $100, you can get up to $30 of returns in the long term... This is definitely more than the 0.025% at POSB...
HHC: But I earn much much more from gambling? $1000 in 6 months is definitely more than $30 per month...
Lady: But can you ensure that you always win in gambling?
HHC: Well, I can't but $1000 in 6 months sounds better to me...

*HHC is gettin abit irritated, but I respect the fact that its a hot saturday afternoon and she still has to work... So I intended to go home to discuss with my parents...*
HHC: Ok how bout this? Can I go home and consult my parents?
Lady: Why do you need to consult your parents? You're old enough to make your decisions. Ok it seems you love your parents?
HHC: Yeah
Lady: Well, you can sign this policy now, chuck it in your drawer... Maybe years later, one fine day, when your parents open your drawer and see the policy, what will they think of you? They'll think of you differently, a mature young man... You should do this instead of gambling your money away...
HHC: But I earn from my gambling, and much more than from this thing...
Lady: Do your parents know about your gambling?
HHC: Ya, I tell them each time I bet...
Lady: *Stunned* Ok just wondering, what do you bet on?
HHC: Singapore Pools soccer.
Lady: Ok...

*In the end, she relented only after I gave her my HP number...*

Lady: *Turns to CJQ* So, I've talked so much to your friend. Rafael back liao! EH WRONG OMG! That's Shi Jiayi! Their hairstyle the same..."
- Then my grandma came in and asked in Hokkien "Who playing?"
- Then my uncle replied "Monkey"
- I was like "Man Utd = Monkey?"
- Uncle: No. Grandma only knows two people in soccer. Ronaldo and Sir Alex Ferguson. She knows Ronaldo as monkey.
- Grandma (in Hokkien + Chinese): Ar noh! He looks like a monkey, especially his ears!
- Grandma leaves.
- HHC: Then what about Alex Ferguson?
- Uncle: Jiat Qiu Nee Ting Eh Lang (The guy eating the chewing gum) (LOLWTFLOL!!!)
- AND DAMN...
Ok, shall do away with posting "work work" all the time...
- Nothing much to talk about at work except my unit mates fascination with matchmaking me and L... Even when L is like at the other side of the globe for the week...

Yesterday (Just a really really brief summary)
- Went to Sentosa with the ISEF 08 peeps cuz I have too much leave to clear and they offered me the opportunity to down one full day of leave...
- 1st time going to Sentosa in like a decade plus...
- And I never knew Mr Davidy had such a great sense of punctualitiy until yesterday...
- Sentosa is heaven and hell cuz there are bars EVERYWHERE lol...
- I shan't go on about the things you can find all over Sentosa...
- So we walked around to random places, so that the girls could take pictures while I stood there and watched Davidy get tekaned by them lol...
- Eh basically the whole day was full of little things here and there that are abit "cumbersome" to blog here...
- Then yeah, with all the ice-cream shops ALL OVER Sentosa, there was no way I could escape treating the rest of them to ice-cream...
- And they were creative enough to use the Bens and Jerrys cups to try to build sandcastles, but to no avail and we ended up playing truth-or-dare...
- And I always thought my little juniors were innocent, but they turned out to be a corrupting influence on me...
- After a while, everyone was thirsty and we decided to go to a bar...
- This time round, I became the corrupting influence...
- Surprisingly, I got eeny weeny tipsy on just rum... Either cuz I drank too fast or cuz I think they used dark rum...
- And now Davidy is enticed by the idea of gettin tipsy...
- And WTH, Sentosa bar cocktails are quite suggestive lol... But somehow their cocktails don't have the alchoholic taste...
- And I never knew YH was THAT adverse to C2H5O lol...
- Then went for dinner after that...
- Then after dinner, the girls went shopping while me and Davidy just had to look on... Then a moment of brilliance struck and we formulated the Soccer Analogy for girls shopping with their boyfriends (not that we are their boyfriends, but the analogy works better when its a girl shopping with her BF)

Soccer & Shopping (Just putting random stuff we were commentating about while the girls were crazily shopping)

- Girls shopping in general is like Arsenal. Passing here and there damn nicely, but never ever scores. Looking at items is like passing. Buying them is like scoring.
- There's the Rooney shopper. Actively goes around taking up things to look at and then asking "should i buy?" all the time. When on form (during sales), she can score loads of goals. When off form, she can go around running all over the pitch but no score a goal.
- There's the Fabregas shopper. Sees an item and cannot help calling all her friends over to take look. Is superb at creating plays for other players to score.
- There's the Berbatov shopper. She walks around the shop slowly, just taking glances at things around her. But when she picks up a pass, she scores with deadly clinicality.

- Boy asking girl to get out of a shop while she is shopping is a yellow card
- Do it two times and you're sent off

- Boy asks girl to get out of shop while she is shopping
- Girl says "No!"
*Boy receives YELLOW CARD*
- Boy goes "Go lah!"
*Boy receives SECOND YELLOW CARD for dissent*

- Girl goes "Ok, buy this for me!" and starts walking towards the cashier
- Boy goes "No!"
*Straight RED CARD*
- Last man foul

- Girl picks up an expensive item is like trying to do an audacious 30 yard chip

- Girl A shows Girl B a jacket (Its a great through pass...)
- Girl B likes it and puts it on (She controls it well and is clean through one on one with the goalie)
- Girl B looks in the mirror and then puts it back (Oooh... What a wasted opportunity as the ball strikes the post and goes out for a goal kick...)

Bah... Too tired to go on... On hindsight, it doesn't seem as interesting on this blog as it really is, too difficult to blog about this, but nonetheless, there are still many funny analogies, maybe you can ask me in person for them haha...

Today
- Played 3v3 soccer in the hall...
- Er, that's about it, lol..

Bah, nothing much to blog about nowadays, shall find something interesting soon lol...

But OMG, the casing is damn cool lol...
- Meanwhile, I've come to realise that AoP has become part of parcel of my life already (pseduo-addiction), its prolly one of the only things that keeps my life going in this repetitive work-gohome cycle... (Well, there's also playing soccer with little kids, but its the Dec hols now and they're like all overseas)
- David will be going for his NS in 2 days time as the weekend soccer gang prepares for a drastic drop in numerical strength in the coming weeks... Sian..."

(Probability Applicant's) Life's Like That
- Every time I type the word "be" now, I would tend to accidentally add a "t" behind before realising it and then deleting it away...

Meanwhile... Another 0.5 down, 3 to go...
